What is the weight of empty capsules?

Standard 00 caps weigh approx – 71 mg when empty

Large 000 caps weigh approx – 110 mg when empty

How do I store my capsules?

Caps can be kept in their Mylar pouch or any other airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place for years. Although using them within a year or two is typically recommended. Humidity is bad. Stay away from ziplock bags or other soft plastic. Glass works great. DO NOT PUT IN REFRIGERATOR.

Why are the caps only half full?

Capsules are “tampened” down, meaning that the powder is pressed down in each capsule, making room for more powder. This often results in the capsule looking like it’s only partially full; especially with lower fill weights. The density of the mushroom can also affect the look. We are sticklers for accuracy and we stand behind all of our fill weights. We encourage you to double-check if you have a milligram scale available. We will never use filler to make them look full.

Why do I see color variations in the capsules, aren’t they supposed to be "golden"?

When we blend the mushrooms together, we get a batch color. If the next batch we blend is a different color, we just keep on filling the caps. Everything is rushed along to maintain freshness and reduce surface contact. Additionally, fruits all have different characteristics, they like to express themselves.

Do you offer refunds?

If it wasn't your cup of tea, we want to know about it! No hard feelings. We promise to take it in stride.

Although items are not eligible for a refund, we will always work to make things right. If you have an issue with your product or you believe your product is defective, please contact goldencaps@proton.me.

If your package is marked delivered but you did not receive your package, you will need to file a claim with the shipping provider or file a claim with USPS if you purchased shipping insurance. For assistance, please contact goldencaps@proton.me. We will not reship or refund packages that are marked delivered. Can you make custom/bulk orders?

Yes! We make custom orders for individual customers all the time. It's a flat rate of $10 per custom order, up to 64ct quantities.

For bulk orders, send us a message and tell us what you have in mind. We do collaborations and love supporting small shops!

What type of shipping is included?

FREE Ground Advantage (formerly First-Class) 2-5 business day shipping, is always included. Your tracking number will be in your order, and become active once USPS puts it “In Transit”.

What kind of packaging do you use?

We ship in standard yellow bubble mailers unless otherwise specified.

Do you ship across the entire US?

We ship to all US territories including Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and the US Virgin Islands. Please be aware of special address requirements or forms before placing your order. All packages are handled by the USPS.

Can I upgrade my shipping?

Yes! Any upgraded shipping will be added to the total before sending the shipping label link.

Please remember that we go by a queue when orders are received, Express shipping does NOT entitle anyone to a line skip.

My order was marked as “ready to be shipped” or “accepted” but I don't see any movement. Was it not received?

Orders will often be dropped off/received by USPS but not always immediately marked as; "in Transit" because they don't actually go out until the next morning.

All packages received by USPS are batched nightly, sorted and loaded to go out the next day. Depending on the volume, USPS may be able to put the package into transit on the same day.

Please remember that 2-5 business day shipping can mean the full 5 business days (excluding weekends), depending on volume per state, and shipping speed.

*This is all based on standard First-Class /Ground Advantage shipping. Priority and Express will get expedited by USPS.

Do you sell psilocybin mushrooms or do you just have a funny name?

We DO NOT sell psilocybin mushrooms. Sorry. If they become legal one day, maybe. Our products may not make you smell colors but they've helped us personally with many of the same ailments that psilocybin purports to solve.

What is Niacin?

Only in our Goldenmane capsules. Niacin is a naturally occurring vitamin, also known as B3. It is made and used by your body to turn food into energy by aiding in the transport and absorption of key vitamins throughout the body. It is often used to help keep your nervous system, and circulatory systems healthy. Made popular by mycologist Paul Stamets when stacked with Lion's Mane mushrooms. Some people may feel a flush when first using Niacin. Although this is more common in large amounts of 1000mg+, it typically fades after the initial use. We only use 125mg of flush-free B3 in our Goldenmane capsules.
